I'm a copywriter, which means I help businesses and entrepreneurs to make meaningful connections with their audiences by writing engaging, compelling text, or "copy" as it's called in the biz. I write for almost any kind of medium, including print and digital ads, emails, web pages, sales letters, brochures, postcards, you name it! I love what I do because it combines two of my great passions: the Art of Writing and the Science of Marketing.
I specialize in helping nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and small businesses tell their unique story to their specific audience. I understand the challenges, opportunities, and rewards of taking a small idea, with limited resources, and turning it into something big. I'm all about the purpose-driven business, because we're all in this together, building a better life for ourselves and others by pursuing our true passions. My passion is helping you find the words to get your message out to the world. What's yours?
You're the expert. You know your stuff, Jack. That's why you do what you do. But writing email funnels? Sales letters? Webpages? That's not what you signed up for! I totally get where you're coming from. It can be overwhelming trying to connect to your audience, especially if writing's not necessarily "your thing". And that's why I'm here. Writing is what I know, what I do, what I love. And I can't wait to write beautiful copy for you.

I have an insatiable craving to know more about everything. I live to explore and take on new adventures: sailing, hiking, calligraphy, astronomy, meditation, songwriting, gardening, backcountry skiing—these are just a few of my recent interests. But sponges aren't made to just absorb; I'm all about sharing what I've learned, whether it's huge, life-changing ideas, or the most trivial of fun facts.

I'm adaptable. I thrive on change. When it comes to wrenches in the works, I keep the attitude "It Is What It Is." I think it's up to us to trust ourselves, to trust that we can calmly, intelligently respond to whatever comes up, that "the universe is unfolding as it should," to quote my favorite poem by Max Ehrmann. I'm discovering the future as it unfolds, one beautiful, irrational, unpredictable day at a time.

Connections between people, ideas, events—I love to find the links that join us. I studied Anthropology because I am fascinated by what motivates individuals and groups to do what they do. Connecting with others and the wisdom they possess is humbling; it's hard to connect if you think you already know it all.

I have this theory about people, that we are all continuously telling and retelling the story of our lives, our autobiographies, through the things we do and say—and just as importantly, through the things we don't say. I love to hear people tell their stories, and listen for the ideas, feelings, and values hidden in the things they aren't saying out loud. I know how good it feels to be heard and understood, so I strive to hear and understand.

I can't help it. Don't ask me to curb my enthusiasm, because this train has no brakes. I prefer to focus on the positive, the fun, the passionate, the enthusiastic. I love working and spending time with fun people, and encouraging them to pursue the things they find fun and exciting. I try not to take life too seriously; that kind of attitude gets in the way of healthy risk-taking. I get a kick out of fake mustaches, cat GIFs, and terrible puns.
